Member Code of Conduct

This applies in the community portal, at DFPSA events, and in any association-affiliated discussion.

We expect every member to

  • Treat fellow public safety professionals, vendors, and staff with respect.
  • Protect operational security — never share PII, victim information, ongoing investigation details, or sensitive tactics in public threads.
  • Disclose vendor or financial conflicts of interest when discussing technology.
  • Cite source agencies when sharing case studies and credit original authors of templates.
  • Follow all applicable FAA regulations, state law, and your agency's policy.

Prohibited conduct

  • Harassment, discrimination, threats, or hate speech.
  • Sharing member-only material outside your authorized agency.
  • Solicitation outside of the Vendor Marketplace channels.
  • Recording or republishing closed-room discussions without consent.

Reporting and enforcement

Report concerns to conduct@dfpsa.org. DFPSA staff may warn, suspend, or revoke membership at its discretion. Serious violations may be reported to the member's employing agency.
