If a partner paid for it, you'll see it labeled — every time.

How we label sponsored content

  • Sponsored — paid placement by a Corporate Partner. Appears on the asset itself and in any cross-promotion.
  • Partner-produced — content authored by a Corporate Partner; DFPSA edits for clarity and accuracy but the partner is the author.
  • Co-produced — DFPSA + partner collaboration; both contributors are credited.
  • Editorial — produced independently by DFPSA staff or member working groups. No sponsor involvement.

What we will not do

  • Run native ads disguised as editorial guidance.
  • Allow sponsors to review or edit editorial content prior to publication.
  • Take payment to suppress competing products, incidents, or coverage.

Public safety discussion disclaimer

Some content covers tactics, operations, and incidents. Where appropriate, sensitive material is restricted to verified members. Members should treat restricted content accordingly and never republish it outside their authorized agency.
